TAROT HACK: How to interpret Tarot cards the easy way!

Alright, I have officially thrown in the towel that is Tarot Tuesday. In the darkly humorous science fiction world of our current reality, weekdays no longer seem relevant anyway. Let’s be real: I can’t keep track of what day of the week it is, and neither can you, most likely. But one thing will always be certain: I am incapable of going longer than a week without talking about Tarot. So here we go again!

Call it what you want: Tarot time, Tarot talk, Tarot tips, Tarot tip talk time… anyway. This week instead of picking a Tarot card to chat about, I am switching things up! I have a fabulous Tarot tip to bestow upon your magical self: a game-changing Tarot hack. Lazy witches rejoice! It’s time to learn how to interpret Tarot cards the easy way.

Seven of Cups: Tarot card talk for a hazy Tuesday blurring into Wednesday

Damn, it’s almost time to water my plants again already?!? As this Tuesday sheds its skin and slithers into yet another Wednesday, my hazy brain keeps reflecting a Tarot card full that has been coming up in my readings a lot lately: the Seven of Cups.

Your Tarot Tuesday: Hangin’ with the hanged man

Ooooh, do I have a good one for you today! Welcome back to another Tarot Tuesday. I know I have been hitting you hard with the intense cards lately, but let’s face it, they are especially relevant at the moment. I know that some of the scarier looking cards in the deck can inspire fear and a desire to just uhh, put that card away and draw another one, but that’s not what they’re for! Upon further inspection, none of the “scary” cards are as doomy and gloomy as their dramatic illustrations make them seem. Sure, challenging situations that force you to grow can be intimidating, but the whole point of reflection during these times is to learn the lessons that need to be learned to get stronger. So today we’ll be hanging out with the Hanged Man! (Or, as my other deck calls it, the Hanged Unicorn.)

Tarot readings for the people!

Well hello there! Here we are again. Another day, huh?

Today in San Francisco, we received word that our stay-at-home orders will continue for at least another month. And while it has become clear that we are all sooo over being in time-out, it is also painfully obvious that we must continue all the good work we have put in to continue to “flatten the curve” so that we can keep our community as safe as possible during this crisis.

Yes, I am a full-time magical gal, but up until the shutdown, I have also been working as a full-time hairstylist. Like many others, I am currently in a super weird state of limbo, unable to go back to the salon until it is deemed safe by the powers that be. This is certainly a hardship, yet I know my focus must remain on what I can do. With uncertainty in the air and bad news everywhere, I know it is vital to support our community by continuing to put a little more magic in the world in any way I can. Hence the juicy morsels of enchantment served up on here daily.

As someone who has been researching and reading Tarot cards since childhood, I have been receiving a lot of requests for readings! This is certainly an excellent time for insight, clarity, and guidance — all things that a great Tarot reading provides. I would like to formally offer this as a service to anyone in need.

It is deeply important to me to be here for you for all your magical needs. I kindly ask that you consider making a donation for these services. Anything at all will help so much during this challenging time! My suggested donation is $10 per card; I offer readings for anywhere from one to eleven cards, your choice. Each reading will include a photo and a full write-up.

Please feel free to request a reading via either one of my Instagram pages: @californiawitchcraft or @unicornface, or using the form here. I am looking forward to connecting with you, and connecting you with your magic! Remember: I am here for you. I will always remind you that YOU ARE MAGIC. Talk to you soon!

temperance

A Temperance Tarot Tuesday

Welcome back to your weekly Tarot Tuesday! It’s official, humanity is collectively experiencing some very strange and vivid dreams. (Both the waking and the sleeping kind, come to think of it. Maybe we’ve been in a dream this entire time? Anyway.) The other night I had a dream that I got “TEMPERANCE” tattooed in very big bold capital letters across my arm. Ironically, I got it done very hastily, realizing only when I returned home and took off the bandage that the word had been spelled wrong.

So why is “TEMPERANCE” calling for attention, especially now? Merriam-Webster defines the word “temperance” as “moderation” or “voluntary self-restraint.” So why tell me to chill when I’ve been chilling? We have all been at home; no one is exactly going wild at the moment. But this could be the perfect time to reflect on how we have been living, and how best to find balance in our lives moving forward.

Oh sh*t it’s the Tower card! (Your Tarot Tuesday)

Sup, sorcerer/esses? Ready to open up wide for your dose of Tarot Tuesday? Here we go!

Few Tarot cards inspire as much trepidation as the Tower, and it’s not very challenging to understand why. I mean, look at that illustration! It’s one of the most extra cards in the whole damn deck. But we’re going to go there, because this card is especially relevant to our collective human experience right now.

2020 vision: double this popular tarot tradition for extra insight

“Happy new year” just doesn’t seem like enough of a greeting this time! Not only are we entering a new year, we are entering a new decade, and not just any decade – one that is also an angel number! I have been paying more attention to angel numbers recently, and 22 is the one that I have been seeing around most frequently. (For those of you who are new to angel numbers, they are numbers that often appear repetitively and are considered to be messages with underlying meanings or guidance.) The number 22 is popping out of 2020 with some vey good omens indeed!

The number 2 has long been associated with balance and duality. When I started researching 22 as an angel number, I noticed it was frequently said to pop up as a reminder that we are able to manifest and multiply the goodness we are meant to bring to this life. This number calls on us to trust our inner wisdom while we create the balance in our outer world needed to make our dreams a reality.

So let’s start off this magical year with a reminder that we are all high-vibrational beings with the gift of life and the ability to create. So much of daily life distracts us from remembering that we are magic! Don’t forget!
